Trout Fishing in two well-stocked dams

The waters at Stonecutters Lodge near Dullstroom and Lydenburg are are fully managed. Coupled with a generous restocking programme, this ensures excellent rainbow trout fishing with accommodation onsite. Conveniently, all the accommodation is within an easy walk of the waters.

The dams are fed by the perennial Dorps River . The size of trout stocked depends on availability, but typically fish stocked are from 600 grams to 1 kilo. Cast a line with your preferred fly: Green Woolly Buggers with a beaded head have achieved good results in the dams!

The river walk is beautiful and for birdwatchers there is always something to spot!
